RadianTrust (www.radiantrust.com), a Singapore-based IT security service provider, saw off competitors from Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Pakistan and Australia, to take the Security Application Award for its flagship product, Phidélity. Phidélity prevents documents from being counterfeited or interfered with by using an optical watermark. This watermark can even be created by conventional printers, with ordinary paper and ink.
Power outlet maker Eubiq’s (www.eubiq.com) child-safe, power outlet system took top honours in the industrial applications category. Their Eubiq System uses wall and desk-mountable tracks to transmit power through concealed contact points, doing away with wires and exposed sockets.
The modular system allows sockets to be added or removed with a simple
twisting motion.
In the e-logistics category, Transmex Systems International (www.transmexsys.com) came out victorious with its i-Secure FMS tanker truck management system. This system guards against theft and honest mistakes, both of which can be costly. The anti-theft controls include using both Global Positioning System (GPS)-based trackers and electronically-activated locks to stop the fuel tank hatches in trucks transporting oil from being opened before they reach their intended destinations.
The locking system also minimises mistakes like 'cocktailing', where different fuels get mixed in a storage tank.
