Dr Al-Shatti and Dr Lee reiterates commitment to strengthen bilateral relations between both countries

Both governments expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral co-operations and progress so far for projects such as the Kuwait Government Portal, the Kuwait Information Network and the establishment of Kuwait's own Central Infocomm Technology (IT) Entity to drive e-Government implementation. Dr Al-Shatti said that the structure of the IT entity would be the same as the IDA in Singapore, adding that much could be learnt from the Singapore experience in this field.

Singapore has also invited senior officials from the Kuwaiti government to attend the newly formed Singapore e-Government Leadership Centre (eGL) as both countries continue to exchange knowledge and share experiences in implementing e-Government.

In a joint statement, Dr Al-Shatti and Dr Lee reiterated their desire to continue collaborating as both countries have established a strong relationship, and can look forward to a deeper commitment to strengthen bilateral relations and to jointly explore opportunities for mutual benefit.
