| This was revealed by CEO Mr.
Kenny Goh and his team recently.
For the company, Singapore represents a key
market, as shown by the fact that the Singapore office was
the second opened up after their headquarters in Malaysia.
The company now has offices in 7 major Asian cities and will
be opening three more by the end of the year.
Some of the company's in-house solutions are
connected to 364 telcos across the world. Their revenue stream
is derived from the provision of connectivity to corporate
customers by the means of revenue share for their Mobile Interactive
Services and per message charge for their Mobile Enterprise
Services. They also generate income from development of messaging
related applications for corporate customers as well as providing
business consultancy services.

Executive Officer, MACROKIOSK |
According to Mr Goh, privacy and spam concerns
are something that the company takes very seriously. For example,
it is company policy for them not sell the database of mobile
numbers to any other companies or customers. Customers will
need to obtain their own database and the method of obtaining
of the numbers will need to be made known to MACROKIOSK for
them to ensure the legality of the use of such database through
their system.
"For us, our core business is our messaging
so we have developed a strong anti-spam policy. If we were
to spam subscribers with messages non-stop, they would quickly
stop using the service or complain to their bank. This would
have a detrimental impact on our business so we are very careful
when it comes to issues like this. For privacy we have taken
steps to protect subscribers as well. We do maintenance on
our systems every three months to ensure that all data is
properly dealt with," Mr. Goh added.
In Singapore Mr. Goh says that the company
has working agreements with the three mobile operators to
allow the company to send out messages as well as charge their
users through the premium SMS service. In addition, MACROKIOSK
also has hosting contracts with SingTel as well as with more
than 30 customers using their services now.
