Singapore Games Creation Competition

The Singapore Games Creation Competition, which is part of the National Infocomm Competition 2007, requires participants to create their very own web-based and 3D game and make it as exciting as it can be. The competition comprises a Secondary School Category and an international Open Category which comprises two separate challenges - Code-a-thon and the Independent Games Developer Challenge.

Games Convention Asia 2007/GC Asia Conference 2007

Games Convention, one of the largest digital interactive gaming exhibitions in the world, is making its Asia debut with the hosting of Games Convention Asia in Singapore. The show aims to address the development needs and opportunities presented by Asia's rapidly growing digital interactive gaming industry. Taking place alongside it will be the GC Asia Conference (6-7 September), which will focus on the Asian development and games market.

23rd National Software Competition 2007

The National Software Competition (NSC) is an annual IT competition organised for students from secondary schools, junior colleges, as well as centralised institutes in Singapore. There will be three competition events in the 23rd NSC - the Algorithm Team Event, IT Quiz and Lego Challenge.

14th Infocomm Horizons Seminar

The 14th Infocomm Horizons Seminar, organised by the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), will focus on Interactive Digital Media. Topics which will be covered include Interactive Games, Film and Animation, and Mobile Media. The event will also showcase IDM demonstrations on games, animation and mobile media from the universities, polytechnics, research institutes and commercial companies.

XBRL: Leading the Future of Financial Reporting in Singapore

XBRL is an emerging standard for processing and presenting financial information over the Internet. This seminar, which is organised by Ngee Ann Polytechnic and supported by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, aims to equip participants with a general understanding of XBRL and its relevance to financial reporting.

16th Governmentware 2007 Conference & Exhibition: Security4U 24/7

Presented by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore, Governmentware is a leading forum for ICT security for Singapore and the region. This year's theme, Security4U 24/7, emphasises the need for an "always on" and transparently available personal security that is customised for everyone in the digital era.  The event is supported by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA).
