Infocomm Professionals

  • Techno-Strategists Programme (TSP)
The Techno-Strategists Programme (TSP) aims to develop professionals with both technical foundation and domain knowledge of industry sectors such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Hospitality and Retail.

  • National Infocomm Competency Framework (NICF)
The National Infocomm Competency Framework (NICF), developed by IDA and WDA in close collaboration with the infocomm industry, is a national infocomm roadmap which articulates the competency requirements of key Infocomm professionals. Infocomm professionals and employers can leverage the NICF to determine the types of skills and competencies required for various infocomm jobs and to develop training strategies for the professionals to acquire these skills through accredited training providers.

The NICF will assist infocomm professionals in assessing their own skills and competencies against national and international standards, and in helping them plan their career paths. It also helps to guide employers in manpower planning, training and professional development programmes.

  • Critical Infocomm Technology Resource Programme (CITREP)
The Critical Infocomm Technology Resource Programme (CITREP) is a training incentive programme to equip Singapore infocomm professionals with critical and emerging skills, thus enabling them to enhance their employability and to improve their organisations’ competitive advantage.

The programme supports the course and examination fees for endorsed courses and certifications.

Students

  • National Infocomm Scholarship (NIS)
The National Infocomm Scholarship (NIS) aims to develop talent and nurture future leaders to help drive Singapore's infocomm industry. Offered in partnership with leading infocomm companies, NIS provides both the prestige of a government scholarship and valuable private sector work exposure.

The scholarship offers recipients a unique opportunity to be nurtured by leading multinational corporations during their course of study. It also provides international experience in the form of an overseas work attachment of up to 6 months with the sponsor company.

  • Infocomm Clubs Programme
The Infocomm Clubs Programme is a Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) for primary, secondary and junior college students. It aims to excite students about infocomm in a fun and meaningful way by helping them to learn new skills and to cultivate leadership and entrepreneurship capabilities at an early age.

Run in partnership with industry, some of the infocomm club activities include training, project work, mentorship, competitions and collaboration with other schools.

  • Enhanced Learning in Infocomm Technology (ELITe)
The Enhanced Learning in Infocomm Technology (ELITe) is a talent development programme that aims to develop "industry-ready" infocomm graduates. A core group of university undergraduates will be given opportunities to acquire practical exposure through industry attachments, mentorship, projects and skills development through certifications.

  • National Infocomm Competition (NIC)
The National Infocomm Competition (NIC) is a series of infocomm-themed competitions focussing in areas such as business IT, digital media, mobile technology, programming and security. The NIC aims to generate greater awareness and excitement among students and the public and to attract and nurture young talent into the dynamic field of infocomm.

The NIC is divided into three circuits - Secondary Schools, Junior Colleges and ITE/Polytechnics.

 Infocomm Community

As our future becomes more and more digitally-driven, particularly with the iN2015 vision to turn Singapore into an Intelligent Nation, infocomm becomes a powerful leveler that can help the needy, the elderly and the disabled enrich their quality of life. IDA’s aim is to bridge the digital divide and create an integrated society in Singapore where infocomm awareness is pervasive and infocomm access is available for one and all.
