Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) form the backbone of the economy in ASEAN. Encouraging and promoting a competitive and innovative SME sector by adopting information and communication technologies (ICT) is key to greater economic growth of the ASEAN region.

The seminar on "Enhancing ICT Adoption by SMEs", seeks to assist ASEAN policy makers by proposing possible measures to increase ICT adoption by SMEs. This could be done through leveraging on the expertise and experiences of both government and industry players of ASEAN and its Dialogue Partners to help businesses in ASEAN embrace ICT for greater competitiveness.
