New Mobile Number Range

March 5, 2004

As the current pool of mobile phone numbers prefixed by the digit "9" is fast depleting, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) will issue new mobile phone numbers beginning with digit "8" to mobile phone operators by end March 2004. This new number range will complement the existing mobile phone numbers with prefix "9".
