Enhanced Learning in Information Technology (ELITe)

The Enhanced Learning in Information Technology (ELITe) is a talent development programme that aims to develop "industry-ready" infocomm graduates. A core group of university undergraduates will be given opportunities to acquire practical exposure through industry attachments, mentorship, projects and skills development through certifications.

Programme Description

Undergraduates participating in the programme enjoy these opportunities:

  • Exposure to infocomm industry seminars;
  • Mentorship from industry leaders;
  • Local and/or overseas industry internship;
  • Training and development in technical skills, soft skills, domain knowledge in demand by the industry; and
  • Industry awareness and exposure when working on industry-relevant projects.

Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduates participating in the programme must be:

  • 1st year university infocomm undergraduate who has been nominated by their university (Scholarship holders without bond obligations are eligible); and
  • Singapore citizens & Permanent Residents.
  • International students who meet the following criteria are eligible:
    • Offered scholarship to study in Singapore;
    • Required to serve a bond in a Singapore-registered company for at least 3 years; and
    • To seek employment on their own upon graduation.

Service Commitment

Successful applicants will be required to:

  • Attend at least one seminar, lecture or workshop during undergraduate studies.
  • Undertake at least one industry-relevant project during his/her undergraduate studies with his/her mentor or undertake an industry-relevant project accepted by the university.
  • Undertake at least one infocomm-focused internship during his undergraduate studies with an industry partner.
  • Take up at least one endorsed certification or course
  • Maintain a progress report throughout the duration of the programme.
