The Infocomm Clubs Programme is a Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) for primary, secondary and junior college students. It aims to excite students about infocomm in a fun and meaningful way by helping them to learn new infocomm skills and to cultivate leadership and entrepreneurship capabilities at an early age.
The objectives of the Infocomm Clubs Programme are to:
- Excite students about the possibilities of Infocomm in a fun way.
- Equip students with relevant infocomm skills.
- Provide students with opportunities to express creativity, entrepreneurship and community spirit.
-
Infocomm club in each school will have programmes that cover one or more focus areas such as digital media, mobile technologies, software development, security & networking and games development.
-
Run the Infocomm club in partnership with industry and other institutions, the Infocomm Club activities include training, project work, mentorship, competitions and collaboration with other schools, locally and internationally. Schools under the Infocomm Clubs Programme may also collaborate to share facilities, extend training, provide ambassadors and undertake joint activities.
-
The Infocomm Club in each school will also organise school-wide enrichment programmes such as seminars or workshops to raise infocomm awareness and appreciation for all students.
-
The Infocomm Club in each school will act as an infocomm resource centre for the school. Platforms will also be provided for schools and various other parties to come together to collaborate, and create a central pool of resources for teachers and students to tap on.
