Call-for-Collaboration - Mobile Payment Systems

Wired With Wireless Logo The Call-For-Collaboration (CFC) for Mobile Payment Systems represented the first in a series of CFCs, and sought to accelerate the development of a vital enabling component of mobile commerce infrastructure, namely Mobile Payment Systems.

Four project consortia had been selected to pilot solutions for retail and person-to-person payments using direct debit payment, stored value and credit card solutions. The consortia for the Mobile Payment Systems CFC are:

  1. Consortium comprising NCS, NETS, SingTel Mobile, Starhub Mobile, MobileOne, VISA, Eng Wah, Diethelm, National Library Board, NUS and DBS;

  2. Secondly, consortium comprising Nokia, NETS and DBS;

  3. Thirdly, consortium comprising ST Electronics, Citibank, BCS Information Systems, wizVision, mVent, Green Dot Capital, Starhub Mobile, CET Technologies, mPayment, MasterCard International, Cathay, Premas International, CalendarOne, National Service Resort & Country Club and

  4. Finally, consortium comprising Systems@Work, HP MEB, Gemplus, Suntec City and VISA.
