Digital Manufacturing Programme aims to establish Singapore as a high-value manufacturing hub by enabling complex manufacturing activities. Collaborative Design is an initiative under this programme.
The Collaborative Design Project aims to improve the efficiency and efficacy of product design-oriented manufacturing activities in Singapore. Target sectors would be high-tech manufacturing as well as offshore & marine in which product design is a key activity. The desired outcome would be a reduction in the design times of products, leading to a competitive edge.
IDA is focusing on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) as well as B2B standards development and adoption for the sector. The emphasis is on collaboration and vertical integration within industries involved in the product design process.
