Asia IC Card Forum (AICF)

The Asia IC Card Forum (AICF) is an organisation founded by Korea, China, Japan and Singapore with the aim of promoting IC-based common platforms across member countries, using ISO standardisation for IC technologies and applications. Thailand has recently joined AICF as a new member.

As a start, the Forum has set its sights on ePassport cross border trials as well as chip-based platform for transit and payment services, under the motto of "One Card One Asia".

IDA is leading the participation in this Forum, along with the local industry via Singapore's IT Standards Committee (ITSC) Cards and Personal Identification Technical Committee (CPITC), chaired by Mr Lin Yih of DART Pte Ltd.  South Korea is currently chairing the Forum with Vice Chairs from Japan, China, and Singapore.
