In this pilot implementation, a 3D mirror of the Marina Bay was created for the public to experience the National Day Parade 2007 Celebrations from the comfort of their homes and while on the go via Wireless@SG. As an added feature, users can also experience the drive-through of the upcoming Singapore Formula One race route.
The digitalCommunity@SG will feature static and live sensor information contributed by the community in Singapore. It will be a place where the government, innovative companies and individuals can access and contribute information in multiple forms. It will also serve as the fusing point for all these information from which new innovative services can be generated quickly.
digitalCommunity@SG aims to exploit and deliver the power of collective intelligence through this platform. The platform will create efficiency in the exchange of a wide range of information services and community sources interacting through standards-based interfaces. The timeliness in information exchange will be a differentiating and value-adding factor.
The user experience of digitalCommunity@SG generated services will span from 3D immersive environment on desktop to interactive graphical experience on everyday mobile devices. Users will be able to access services and contribute content anytime and on any device.
