IDA invites companies to submit proposals on the deployment of contactless POS terminals and the implementation of marketing activities in selected merchant segments, for the purpose of e-payment adoption.

Companies could be either :

• Acquirers intending to install contactless POS terminals at merchants' premises; or
• Merchants intending to install contactless POS terminals at their premises.

Objectives

This CFC aims to :

1. Accelerate e-payment adoption by effecting a change in consumer habits through contactless payments; and
2. Catalyse the deployment of NFC mobile payments in the future by expediting the installation of more acceptance points.

Extension of Submission Deadline

IDA will be extending the deadline for the submission of proposals for the Deployment of Contactless Point-of-Sale (POS) Call-for-Collaboration to 10 June 2009, 5.00pm.

Proposal Submission

One (1) hardcopy and one (1) softcopy (in a CD-ROM) of the Proposal should reach IDA no later than 10 June 2009, 5.00pm. All Proposals must be clearly marked as "Deployment of Contactless POS Terminals CFC", and addressed to:
