Under Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore's ("IDA") EdVantage Programme, a sub-programme called Experimentation@Schools Programme (ESP) was launched to look into the development of "blue-sky" projects based on several educational technology themes that can demonstrate the innovative use of ICT in Learning and Teaching (L&T). To achieve this, IDA will lead in the efforts to foster industry partnerships to catalyse integration of ICT in L&T to support Self Directed Learning (SDL) and Collaborative Learning (CoL).
To kickstart these efforts, IDA is issuing the Call For Collaboration ("CFC") to invite companies to submit proposals for the development and pilot of ICT applications for two (2) themes under ESP:
- Collaborative Learning (CoL) Tools
- Learning on the Move (LOTM)
Participants may submit proposals on the development and pilot of one or more of the following themes:
- Collaborative Learning (CoL) Tools - Develop and pilot tools with selected schools identified by IDA to support collaborative learning amongst students; and enable teachers to search, pull together and analyze information contributed by students to identify learning patterns needs for necessary interventions.
- Learning on the Move (LOTM) - Develop and pilot tools with selected schools identified by IDA for the creation of learning trails to enable authentic learning anytime, anywhere for students.
A public briefing was held on 25 March 2010 where IDA shared with industry partners on the important details of the Collaborative Learning (CoL) Tools and Learning on the Move (LOTM) Call-for-Collaboration. The industry briefing slides and the directory listing of companies interested in CFC can be downloaded below:
The submission for Collaborative Learning (CoL) Tools and Learning on the Move (LOTM) Call-for-Collaboration closed on 31 May 2010, 4.00pm.
