Singapore, 26 July 2010"With such pervasive use of ICT, cyber threats have become more prevalent, and are constantly evolving. Enhancing our infocomm security capabilities is therefore essential." said Mr Chan Yeng Kit, Permanent Secretary for Information, Communications and The Arts at the SecureAsia@Singapore 2010 Conference. In his opening address, Mr Chan said that the Infocomm Security Masterplans have enabled a strategic approach to the problem, and concerted and coordinated efforts to enhance cyber security. He also announced the launch of Qualified Information Security Professionals Programme by AISP and the Cyber Security Awareness Alliance's new tagline, 'Go Safe Online'.
  • IDA To Conduct White Space Technology Trials

  • To generate more awareness of white space technology in the industry and to encourage the industry to explore the possibilities of creating feasible commercial applications and solutions, IDA will be conducting trials for white space technology. The trials, named CRAVE, will commence in fourth quarter of 2010 with the participation of 3 organisations.
  • World's First IT Business Continuity Management Certification Unveiled

  • The world's first Certification in IT Business Continuity Management (CITBCM), covering business continuity management, IT disaster recovery and data center management, was launched on 8 July 2010, at the second annual Infocomm Professional Development Forum, jointly organised by IDA and SCS. The CITBCM has CITREP status, which will aid candidates in funding up to 80 per cent of the application cost.

  • IDA sweeps three awards on 2 July at the Singapore HR Awards 2010, organised by the Singapore Human Resources Institute. The Awards recognises individuals and organisations that have made outstanding contributions to human resource practices in the workplace and workforce. IDA picked up the 'Employee Relations' and 'Corporate Learning' awards, including a special mention for the best in 'Talent Management'.
