Mobile Patient Health Record solution among winners of SingTel i.Challenge 08

Posted date: 1 April 2009

Healthcare professionals will be able to get a clear and concise view of a patient’s condition and history with the help of a solution that allows patients to retrieve personal medical records on their mobile phones and PDAs. The Mobile Patient Health Record (MPHR) solution developed by the KOOPrime-CommerceHub consortium was one of four winners of the inaugural SingTel i.Challenge08, taking home the honours in the Healthcare Innovation Award category.

The competition is an initiative of the SingTel Partner Programme. Participants were required to design solutions that address a set of real-life business challenges based on the experiences of customers and key industry players.  The judging criteria included the ease of adoption, user-friendliness, innovativeness and commercial viability of the solutions. Prizes were awarded in four categories: Consumer Mobile Applications, Healthcare, Logistics and Transportation, and Workplace Innovations.

In the category of Logistics and Transportation Innovation, the award went to Growth Venture, a company that develops mobile platforms, robotics and communication systems. Its intelligent remote vehicle tracking solution continuously monitors the status of vehicles and drivers to allow companies to better manage their fleet and minimise maintenance costs.

GTW Holdings’ HungryGoWhere mobile application, which helps users to quickly locate restaurants in their immediate vicinity on their mobile phones, won the Consumer Mobile Applications Innovation Award.

The fourth winner was Advanced ERP, which took home the honours in the Workplace Innovation category. Its DreamApps WorkSpace solution is an innovative workforce collaboration tool that facilitates the exchange of information and digital content such as blogs, documents, images, sound clips and videos. The solution is ideal for events, campaigns and community building projects.
